Description
This course is a proseminar in which specialists in the various sub-fields of classics are invited to assign readings and to make presentations in class. Topics may include, but are not limited to the history of the Greek and Latin languages, classical bibliography, textual criticism in the 19th and 20th centuries, research tools including computer resources and applications, Latin and Greek paleography, literary and documentary papryology, epigraphy, munismatics, and archaeology. Students will write a paper in teh area of one of teh sub-fields under the guidance of the instructor.
