Description

The focus of this course is to respond to new and specific areas of interest related to the development of knowledge within doctoral nursing research. Faculty will develop Topics Courses based on new issues within advanced levels of nursing. Students will have the opportunity to participate in seminars that focus on emerging nursing content. The attached Special Topics in Nursing: Ethnographic Research Methods for Nursing and Health provides one example. Other possible Special Topics in Nursing seminars might be: Phenomenological Research Methods for Nursing and Health; Utilization of Nursing Theories for Research; Utilization of Health Promotion Theories for Research; Childhood Obesity and Health Policy Research and Integrative Research Reviews and Clinical Nursing Education.
