Description

The creation of effective and engaging interactive visualizations requires knowledge of visualization principles, visual design, and web development. In this class, students will learn new skills needed to create interactive visualizations. Students will explore a variety of markup languages, programming languages, and libraries such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and D3. They will learn how to generate visual elements from data using the D3.js, style visualizations, and create both basic graph types and more advanced visualizations. They will learn to produce more advanced web visualizations using R or Python and will explore popular code libraries. Finally, they will create interactive web-based visualizations,
