Inequality, Economic Opportunity and Public Policy

This course offers an economic analysis of inequality and its relationship to economic opportunity. Theories of human capital development and intergenerational mobility or reviewed to motivate the empirical study of socio-economic inequalities and the implications for the conduct of public policy, including early child learning, schooling, health care, income support, and taxation.
