Description
The QMSS thesis/capstone course is the culmination of QMSS degree. The course entails the development of a thesis/capstone project in which students integrate and synthesize the knowledge that they have developed during the MA coursework into a culminating project. Such works must include the development of theoretically informed research question(s), the operationalization of research concepts with measurable quantitative data, and the appropriate analysis of that data to gain insights into empirically addressing the proposed research questions. The course is designed to meet weekly and serve as an organizational point for students in the capstone phase of their degree program. The final capstone project is intended to focus on the application of appropriate quantitative methods to answer theoretically informed social science research questions.
