Description
Meta-analysis is a statistical technique that allows researchers to quantitatively synthesize and analyze data from multiple studies on a specific topic. This course presents basic steps in carrying out a research synthesis and aims to help students learn to conduct a meta-analytic study. Students will gain an understanding of principles, methods, and applications of meta-analysis with hand-on exercises in a statistical software (i.e., R). Basic knowledge of statistics is recommended. EPSY 70600 (Statistics II) or equivalent is a prerequisite; EPSY 73300 (Applied Linear Regression) or other experience with statistics is recommended.
